Emily Jenkins, CPNP, PMHS, grew up in North Carolina and received a Bachelor’s from Wake Forest University. She moved to Charleston in the 90s and worked in marketing, advertising, and the creative arts. Emily is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. She is passionate about patient education and incorporating mental health in the primary care setting.
In her free time, she enjoys her family, her cats, and painting.

Emily was very attentive to my daughter
Emily was very kind with my son who was very upset and nervous. Her calming demeanor helped ease my son’s fears and helped the exam finish quickly and thoroughly. I’ve had very negative experiences with pediatric providers that were very condescending or uninterested in care but Emily was not like that at all. Overall a very positive experience
Emily is down-to-earth and listens to parental concerns and to the child. My preteen likes to be involved in her own healthcare and Emily gave her the choice of trying therapy first versus medicating first during a recent mental health visit. This made me respect her that much more as we don’t like to push medication first in our household.
Very concerned and respectful. Listened fully to our concerns and addressed the issues. Made us feel very heard and seen.
