Emily Bigler, DNP, FNP-C, is a native Texan with a passion for learning. Her background in internal medicine has fueled her expertise in chronic conditions and preventive care.
While pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Emily worked with geriatric patients. Through caring for this population, she refined her attention to detail and helped prevent numerous infections from diabetic complications. In 2020, Emily returned to school to pursue her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, graduating with honors and recognition from the Dean of Nursing at UT Health San Antonio.
Her final capstone project, which explored mindfulness techniques for women with opioid use disorder, was featured at the UT Health 16th Annual Community Service Learning Conference and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing’s 47th Biennial Convention.
Emily strives for excellence in her daily practice and believes that empathy and kindness are contagious. She is passionate about educating patients of all ages and helping them achieve their health and wellness goals.
Emily currently lives with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. She enjoys walks, hiking, and nature. Emily’s favorite activity is spending time with her family.
