Derek Eason, AGNP-C, is a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with 10 years of clinical experience, working in the Intensive Care Unit prior to coming to Be Well Family Care. He traveled the country working as a travel RN. He worked in cardiac, medical, and neuro ICU’s. Additionally, Derek cared for patients during the heat of the covid pandemic.
Derek is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and has made Arizona his home. He and his partner have been together for 7 years and have a small poodle named Gus. In his free time he can be found at the gym, by the pool, traveling, or helping with his partners healthy meal prep business.
I was able to express myself with my medical needs and to be heard about my health. Dr. Derek was able to explain and provide excellent information and care as well.

Derek has been absolutely wonderful to work with regarding my health and medical care. He takes the time to truly listen to my concerns and walks me through every situation and possible scenario in a way that makes me feel informed and comfortable. I never feel rushed, and I always feel heard and respected. Every time we talk, we come up with a plan that feels right for me. I truly respect Derek and genuinely enjoy working with him.
Very patient and informative with all my questions and concerns
Dr. Derek was outstanding throughout my visit. He took the time to thoroughly explain the Yeztugo injection, answered all of my questions, and made sure I felt comfortable before and after treatment. I appreciated how knowledgeable he was about HIV prevention, LGBTQ+ health, and overall wellness. He created a welcoming, respectful, and judgment-free environment, which made it easy to discuss my health concerns openly. I left feeling informed, confident, and well cared for. I highly recommend Dr. Derek to anyone looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable healthcare provider.
