Brendan Koning, CRNP, CPNP- PC, began his nursing career in 2014 after graduating with his BSN from Florida Gulf Coast University. In high school and throughout college, he dedicated time to helping the children in the community. During nursing school, he made impactful connections that reaffirmed that pediatrics is where his heart lies.
He moved to Orlando and worked in pediatric orthopedics and neurology and in 2015 he joined the pediatric emergency department and trauma center. After completing his graduate degree at the University of South Florida, Brendan moved to Frederick County to practice as a pediatric nurse practitioner. His passions include sports medicine, pediatric mental health and newborn education.
The move from Florida to Maryland has brought Brendan back to the family he married into in 2015.
Raised in Michigan, Brendan is not a stranger to the unpredictable weather. He is a huge Michigan State Spartans fan and enjoys watching the Ravens with his family. He enjoys hiking and seeing the outdoors with his family and their Goldendoodle, Remy.
