Did not actually assess me or have me move or show her where I was hurting. Wanted to go straight to epidural steroid without trying oral first. Or performing an assessment to see if my pain an injury was the same that I was treated 9 months previously. Made me feel bad for asking for tramadol or something for pain when I have tried multiple over the counter and prescription items first and have not had a prescription for a pain medication in over two years, from when my daughter was born and before that it had been two additional years from when my son was born. I don’t ask for pain medication unless I’m really hurting.

I did not like that she—not once—but three times told me that I didn’t have a conversation with Dr. Guzman about being allergic to Gabapentin. Then, when she actually looked through my file she saw that I had discussed it with her. I also didn’t like being questioned multiple times if I had tried Tylenol. Seeing someone with the amount of pain I have—which I know she does on a daily basis— she shouldn’t insult a patient with that question. I wouldn’t be seeing a pain clinic if I hadn’t tried all the OTC options without success.

Not prepared for the meeting. Had not received or reviewed the medical test taken. Information provided was not concise nor very beneficial. Hoping the next meeting will be held in a more professional manner.. I expect to meet with the doctor who requested the various test and have him review the MRI in layman’s terms
