Amanda is the best rheumatologist I have been to, and I’ve been seeing some for a couple of decades now. I’m 25 with a lot of chronic illnesses, and Amanda doesn’t treat me based off of my age like most doctors do. She pays attention to detail, and takes any comments or concerns into careful consideration. One of the only ones I have met with true beside manner.

Amanda Robertson, DNP, AGPCNP, was born and raised in Charleston, SC. In 2007, she graduated from the College of Charleston, where she earned her bachelor’s in biology with a minor in dance. She worked in a rheumatology practice as a medical assistant before applying to the nursing program at Trident Technical College. In 2011, she graduated with an associate’s degree in nursing. Following completion of her nursing program, she took a position as a rheumatology infusion nurse.
After four years of working as a registered nurse, Amanda wanted to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse practitioner. She earned her bachelor’s in nursing at the Mary Black School of Nursing at the University of South Carolina Upstate in 2016. In 2017, she was accepted into the nurse practitioner program at the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her doctorate in nursing in adult and geriatric primary care in 2020. She then worked as a rheumatology nurse practitioner for 3 years before moving to Myrtle Beach.
In May 2024, she joined Carolina Rheumatology and Neurology Associates as a board-certified adult and geriatric nurse practitioner. She is a member of the Rheumatology Nurses Society (RNS), Infusion Nurses Society (INS), Association of Rheumatology Health Professionals (ARHP), Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Women in Rheumatology (AWIR), and Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor Society.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Brandon, and her 2 children, Stella and Gage, along with her 3 dogs. She is very thankful for the hard work and dedication of her medical assistant, Jessica Wansha.
