Allyson Ruiz, APRN, is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Utah. Prior to joining the High Risk Pregnancy Center, she gained extensive clinical experience in the post-operative and operating units at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital and the University of Utah. She specializes in advanced diabetes management for high-risk pregnancies.

Allyson Ruiz, APRN, is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a board-certified advanced diabetes manager at the High Risk Pregnancy Center. Driven by a passion for both clinical care and patient education, Allyson views herself as a dedicated healthcare partner for women navigating the complexities of diabetes during pregnancy.
Allyson earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Utah. Before specializing in maternal-fetal health, she gained critical experience in the post-operative unit at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital and the operating rooms at the University of Utah. In 2012, she joined HRPC as a diabetes advanced practitioner, where she has since been instrumental in expanding the clinic’s specialized services.
Allyson holds multiple specialized certifications, including Board Certified-Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM) and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). She is an active member of the American Diabetes Association and the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine.
She believes that clear communication and positive lifestyle changes are the foundations of success in high-risk pregnancies. Allyson is committed to meeting the growing demand for excellent diabetic care in the community, ensuring every patient feels supported through their journey to motherhood.
