A New Jersey native, Carol attended Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts and continued on to Boston University School of Nursing in 1986 and graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing, Maternal Child Health from the Yale University School of Nursing in 1988. Before coming to
work for County Ob/Gyn, Carol was a Nurse Midwife at Community Health Care Plan in New Haven.
Carol has been with County Ob/Gyn since 1996 and is our Chief Midwife. In addition to delivering babies, she specializes in well-woman gynecology, antepartum and postpartum care, contraceptive management, and perimenopause/menopause. She is also an Associate Professor with the Yale University Nursing Program.
She loves to travel and enjoys visiting Paris as often as she can. She resides in Madison with her husband and they try to spend as much time as possible with their two children, their spouses and one very special grandson.

My first visit was with Carol and me and my husband enjoyed meeting with her. Very kind, compassionate, and explained things clearly. We looked forward to our next visit!
When I spoke to carol about mammograms. I told her I didn’t see the point because I have Dense Brest tissue and it would be hard to find anything and why expose myself for radiation yearly. On her notes about my appointment with her she wrote I didn’t want a mammogram because I didn’t want to be exposed to radiation. That’s not the truth and it’s really annoying to go to a doctor and not be listed to.
