Born in Stockholm, Sweden & raised in Connecticut, Alex attended the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated magna cum laude with her BSN in 2018. She worked as a perinatal nurse in Pittsburgh and Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, and then as a labor and delivery nurse on a high-risk unit serving the West Philadelphia community. Alex returned to the University of Pennsylvania and earned her MSN in Midwifery and Women's Health-Gender Related Nurse Practitioner in 2023. After nearly a decade in Philadelphia, Alex is happy to be joining the team at County and to be relocating closer to family.

She loves every aspect of labor and catching babies, and cares deeply about ensuring accessibility to the elements of holistic midwifery care for all clients. She is also passionate about reproductive access, gender affirming healthcare, well-person care across the lifespan, and ante and postpartum care.
In her free time, Alex enjoys trying new restaurants, exploring museums, reading, hiking, and spending time with her friends, family, and Portuguese Water dog Sally.

I was so unfair to Alex when I first met her. I can't apologize enough, but hormones towards delivery were unpredictable and she was very understanding. She made room for me in her busy schedule to avoid being sent to the hospital. She's a great asset to the practice and I'm happy to have her as a physician. Overall, I appreciate her precaution and thoroughness for my prenatal and postpartum care!
