Staff was great doctor needs to work on his bedside manner. Making jokes about people when they are in pain isn’t the time.

I was so pleased with the quick service we received. The two nurses that assisted the Dr. were fantastic. They were both so patient with my grandson who was very difficult. Thank you for for making his visit not so scary.

They were prompt in getting us into a room and getting us seen and an xray. I don’t feel like much was really explained to us. They kind of just made it out like it’s something we should already know. I would have appreciated having the images shown to me so that I could see them proving that it was only a sprain and not a break. I also would’ve liked to have had the discharge paperwork read to me and not just handed to me they seemed new/young/ Unorganized. We sat there for 15 minutes thinking we were waiting on something to find out we could’ve left. Overall, they did a good job and I would go back if I needed care. It was a train time as we were many hours away from home in town for a volleyball tournament to have our daughter fall within 15 minutes of playing the game.

Doctor seemed like he was half asleep he kept talking to us with eyes closed. They werent taking care of my son properly. An the ER Tech was giving us ugly looks and being rude.

"ICE" is a very simple, yet important method of contact for you or a loved one in case of an emergency. As cell phones are carried by almost everyone, all you need to do is program the number of a contact person or persons and store the name as "ICE".The idea was thought up by a paramedic who found that when they went to the scenes of accidents, there were always mobile phones with patients, but they didn't know which numbers to call. He, therefore, thought that it would be a good idea if there was a nationally recognized name to file "next of kin" under. QVMC is following many Emergency Services by launching our "In Case of Emergency (ICE)" program here locally. The idea is simple. You just store the word "ICE" in your mobile phone address book, and with it enter the number of the person you would want to be contacted "In Case of Emergency ". In an emergency situation, our Emergency Services personnel and hospital staff will be able to quickly contact your next of kin or emergency contact, by simply dialing the number programmed under "ICE". For more than one contact name simply enter ICE1, ICE2, ICE3, etc. Please forward this information to everyone you know and love. It really could save your life and put a loved one's mind at rest.
