Unity Medical Center began when two existing hospitals, Medical Center of Manchester and United Regional Medical Center, joined forces to begin a new healthcare journey. The two hospitals were transitioned into a singular 49-bed facility in order to provide medical services to a community that we not only highly value but promise to serve with the highest quality of care. UMC provides many advanced services to the Manchester area utilizing our highly-trained staff that will be there with you every step of the way.

I totally hate having to sign HIPA and other documents every time I visit. It's irritating and a waste of time.

I would have liked some direction on Medicaid to help care for my husband.

Nurses are rude and made me feel like my problems weren't important because they had more serious issues. I sat there for 4 hours and I left after a nurse got huffy with me for asking a question. Worst staff ever will never go back.

I have had over 20 surgeries in my lifetime and the absolute worst experience I had was at Unity. Probably the only nice thing I could say is the nurses were not rude. But they have ABSOLUTELY 0 communication skills. There were things going on that was beyond their control but instead of letting me know something, they prefered to stick me in a room shared by a loud mouth patient and his wife for over 4 hours with an IV in my hand and no medication expecting me to figure it out on my own. After a fairly major procedure, they didn't even bother to deal with me more than handing me a piece of paper that didnt even have a Dr. Follow up appointment, and wished me good luck. I was not being difficult in anyway and held my composure pretty well for someone who felt they were being treated like an ignorant piece of crap. If I were a member of management, I would be horrified at knowing how at least some of the patients were being treated. I will not return even in a life or death situation.
