Unity Medical Center began when two existing hospitals, Medical Center of Manchester and United Regional Medical Center, joined forces to begin a new healthcare journey. The two hospitals were transitioned into a singular 49-bed facility in order to provide medical services to a community that we not only highly value but promise to serve with the highest quality of care. UMC provides many advanced services to the Manchester area utilizing our highly-trained staff that will be there with you every step of the way.

Everyone was so nice and sweet thank you
Fast, pleasant, thorough,
I’ve heard a lot of terrible things about this hospital but I went in with terrible abdominal pain and ended getting transported to St Thomas the have my appendix removed and Inity was great. They were friendly and quick to respond. Thank you!
The nurse I had was the rudest woman I have ever encountered. Her name was Tina, I believe. I listened to the staff joke about patients and make awful remarks about patients and complain that more people were coming in. An elderly couple waited over an hour for an ice pack and ended up having to push the help button just to get one. Another elderly woman begged several nurses for a blanket over and over, she was forgotten about. Then she begged and begged calling for someone to help her to the restroom. It was the worst experience I’ve ever been through at an emergency room. I pray that someone does something about the immature staff that have absolutely not one ounce of sympathy for the patients.
I had a mammogram. Fran the technologist was excellent.
Excellent
It took a long time in the waiting room for a simple blood test. But later I was informed that there was an emergency in the ER that required their attention. So I'm cool with that.
17 days and no report!!! Staff was good but radiology was set up for a swallow study. It was ordered as esophogram! My husband had a swallow study several weeks prior to this day.
Your staff needs to all be trained on the same thing. Called and spoke to someone before I drove an hour there, she told me if I had order to come on. I got there checked in thru emergency and the lady from radiology said they couldn’t see me. The doctors office sent all clinical and order in on Thursday the following week and I had not heard anything. A lot of your employees are lazy and put off doing what they need to do. This is the second time I have experienced trouble getting a test done.
The doctor was reluctant to assist my elderly dad in anyway. The catheter that was put in on Sat had an infection by Tuesday. I had to take my dad to another hospital and they shared the concern. Finally my dad's discharge paperwork was incorrect. I went back within an hour and was told sorry, we can't correct the discharge paperwork. I had to be exceptionally direct to get any help to ensure the discharge paperwork could be corrected so my dad could receive the meds he needed at the assisted living facility. Completely unprofessional, lack of empathy.
