The office visit was too brief, maybe 2-3 minutes. She came in, said a few things (speedily) and was on her way out of the door! It startled me that it all happened so rapidly so I said "Huh?" My mind was racing trying to recall everything she had said, so I repeated to her what I thought she said. This exper disappointed me because 1)Dr. Thomas had not seen me in 1 1/2 years and she didn't touch me anywhere 2) She did not take the time to ask how I had been doing during this period of time so obviously she didn't care, 3) I have been in a lot of arthritis pain the past 6-8 months, more than ive ever been and I planned to discuss this with her, and 4) when I stopped her on her way out of the door and said 'Huh?', she came back in the room and sat down but appeared to be irritated that I stopped her. This has not been my experience with Dr. Thomas before but im considering requesting a new rheumatologist who will be concerned about this new 'era' of arthritis Im in as I get older
