The Rheumatic Disease Center is the oldest and largest independent rheumatology practice in eastern Wisconsin. They welcome patients at offices in Milwaukee and Glendale, Wisconsin. Rheumatologists specialize in diagnosing and treating autoimmune diseases and rheumatic conditions. These disorders affect the joints, muscles, bones, tendons, and ligaments. Rheumatic conditions cause general symptoms, like fatigue, fevers, muscle aches, skin rashes, and joint pain, that resemble many possible ailments.
The Rheumatic Disease Center offers comprehensive on-site diagnostics to quickly and accurately determine the source of each patient’s symptoms.
Patients conveniently get lab work, X-rays, ultrasound, and bone density testing done in the office. The team also operates a fully staffed infusion therapy center, allowing patients to receive the needed advanced medications without traveling to another site.

Conditions We Do Not Treat
While our team is dedicated to diagnosing and managing autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, we do not provide ongoing treatment or management for the following conditions:
- Fibromyalgia
- Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)
- Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
- Polyneuropathy
- Dysautonomia
- Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS)
- General pain management
These conditions are best managed by primary care providers, pain management specialists, or other appropriate specialists who can offer comprehensive, long-term support. We are happy to assist in ruling out inflammatory or autoimmune causes of symptoms before guiding you back to the most appropriate care team.
