I went to the doctor to follow up on a shoulder fracture I suffered 2 weeks ago at my home in Wisconsin. I had been seen by a reputable orthopedic specialist at a highly rated facility in Burnsville MN. He recommended followi ups at 2 and 6 weeks to be sure my fracture was healing correctly. I had X-rays done at this facility in Florida but the doctor said he couldn’t see what he needed to on them and despite my asking THREE times if it was healing correctly I did not get an answer. The purpose of the appointment obviously. He also said I could start taking the sling off at times. I emailed my provider in Minnesota who said that he still recommended a sling for 6 weeks since I had a fracture and not just a shoulder dislocation. I will never go back to the doctor here in Florida. I got the impression it was all about how many people he could shuffle through in a day. Horrible experience and a total waste of money
