I’ve been a patient of Dr. Shriver’s for about three or four years now. At my last annual visit, the dreaded “progressive glasses” conversation came up. I’m in my mid-40s and had always assumed I wasn’t a candidate for LASIK, but the idea had been nagging at me for years. After some testing and another conversation, we set a date. I’m about a week post-surgery and honestly shocked by how easy the procedure was and how quickly my vision improved. Dr. Shriver and his surgical scheduler Catherine are AMAZING. I truly felt like I was their only patient—and still do—that’s how attentive they are. Dr. Shriver personally called me both before and after surgery to check in and make sure all my questions and concerns were answered (yes, even on the weekend). I spoke with Catherine so much I probably owe her a Christmas card. A few things to note: the procedure itself is very quick—about 15 minutes.
