We had such a wonderful experience this week. Mary has a truly special ability to connect with people in what could be an otherwise stressful setting. My child came in a little nervous, as many kids do in a medical office, but within minutes she had him relaxed, laughing, and completely comfortable.
Mary took the time to speak to him directly, to make things feel safe and where he felt he had agency and was a part of his own treatment. She took the time to explain things to him in a way he could understand and patiently answered his questions. By the end of the visit, what could have been an anxious appointment had turned into a positive and even enjoyable experience for him.
As a parent, that kind of compassion and bedside manner means the world. I’m incredibly grateful for the care she provided and would highly recommend her to anyone, adult or child.
