David J. Musgrave, M.D.

Dr. Musgrave had replaced my husband’s hip and his treatment was fantastic. So when I injured my hip I thought he would be perfect. Not so much. I feel like I was brushed off because I do not need replacement. I went to get the results of an MRI and he did not even go over the results with me he just told me it was time for Mother Nature to take over in my healing and left the office. I read the MRI report and know that there is something wrong but I did not understand all of the medical jargon. (I still don’t)

Urgent Care

If I hadn’t already built the relationship I have with LBJI over the last decade for pain management, I’d never return after my visit yesterday. In excruciating lower back pain. Prescribed medrol and cyclobenzapine. Refused actual pain medication. Verified with PA that my pain is not muscle related, yet she prescribed a muscle relaxer “to help this”. Put in for an MRI. Told if the oral Meds don’t help just to go the ER and follow up with my Dr. Past experience with LBJI has always been amazing. I’ve refused narcotic pain meds for over a decade with drs at LBJI and opted For various other Options, like cortisone injections, PT etc.. You can imagine my confusion when trying to explain that this is the worst pain I’ve ever been in and asking for literally anything so i can, at the minimum, sit or lay down slightly more comfortably to be told no. My husband, watching me suffer for so long even asked for an actual doctor instead of PA and we were denied. Subpar care at premium prices
