We are a team of licensed, Board Certified Pediatricians dedicated to the health and welfare of children. We are all Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP). Our primary hospital affiliations are with Crouse Hospital and Golisano Children’s Hospital at Upstate Medical University. We attend to newborns at Crouse Hospital and hold clinical faculty appointments at Upstate. Upstate’s Golisano Children’s Hospital’s commitment to the highest quality pediatric care is exemplified by its Pediatric Hospitalist Program which staffs the state of the art Inpatient Pediatrics Units.

Almost 50 years ago, three community pediatricians, Drs. Francis M. Shields, Raymond J. Cassady, and Martin C. Ushkow joined forces and “opened up shop” at 600 East Genesee Street. They were joined in 1976 by Dr. Stephen H. Mintz. In 1990, Dr. Linda Imboden joined the group and Dr. Mintz decided it was time to move the practice to its current location at 151 Intrepid Lane and “Brighton Hill Pediatrics”, as we are known today, was born.
Dr. Kathryn G. Webster joined the group shortly after the move in 1991. In 1993 Dr. Cassady retired and Drs. Joanne G. Rosser and Margaret Hellems-Stanley joined the group. As time has passed, the group has been blessed with the additions of Drs. Barbara Anne Morisseau (2001), Michael K. Soeder (2003), Derek P. Gorski (2015), Elizabeth Cassalia (2019), Lauren Carlyle (2019), Veronica Szalkowski-Lehane (2023) and Zachary Augustine (2025). We have wonderful pediatric Nurse Practitioners: Stacey Muscolino, and Eleanor Gustke.
Through all the changes over all the years, one thing has remained constant – our dedication to providing the highest level of pediatric care for all of our patients.
