Oaklawn was founded in 1925 as a 12-bed hospital in a residential home, funded by a group of visionary philanthropists. Now, almost ten decades later, we’ve evolved into a highly regarded regional health care organization, licensed for 77 acute care beds and a 17-bed inpatient psychiatric unit. We’ve continued to be an independently owned not-for-profit hospital, with our main campus residing on the same site as the original hospital, providing facilities, equipment and technology that are usually only found at larger health systems.

They tried telling me that they were sending me home to help save me money, when does a hospital ever worry about that. I felt like they didn’t want to go through the work of admitting me to the hospital. I saw 3 different doctors in a matter of 4 hours and they all had different opinions, I felt like I was being bounced around mentally. They did get me right in and got the tests done quickly.

Great service. Fast results. Knowledgeable staff. Nurse didn’t put gloves on when hooking fluids to my IV but other than that. Amazing service

My overall experience was horrible. I was put into a hallway upon being checked into the back. I stayed in the hallway, the entire duration of my visit there I even had x-rays done in the hallway. I tore my meniscus and they told me to just walk it off and follow up with an orthopedic surgeon which I did that’s how I found out that that’s why my meniscus but I am very, very disappointed with the service I received at this facility

Waited over 3 hours to see a doctor to order pain meds as I was doubled over screaming in pain.

We enjoy a reputation for advancing medicine and providing compassionate, personal care. Our service area includes Calhoun County and parts of Branch and Eaton counties with a medical staff of more than 300 providers representing over 55 specialties.
