Dr. Bartel changed my life. For 7 years i suffered from foot pain and visited several doctors with no luck. Dr. Bartel knew what the issue was and i had a small surgery and my paid is gone and now i can go back to my active lifestyle.

We saw Dr. Bartel for our seven year old daughter’s broken leg on a whim after an Google search, because our appointment had been canceled by an orthopedist in Naperville. Dr. Bartel and his PA (Angela Lang) and staff were absolutely wonderful with our little girl. It’s always worrisome to go someplace that doesn’t focus solely on pediatrics, but everyone here knew how to work with kids and we were so impressed. We are thrilled to know that OrthoFirst exists, and are likely to drive to Geneva from Naperville for any broken bones that occur in our future.

Our pre op nurse was Alexis. Warm. Caring. Attentive. Took extra time with my son when he needed it. Passed on her concerns to the team. Anastasia was awesome regarding anesthesia options. Explained everything very clearly. . Again. Patient centered. Professional. Gave me great confidence my son was in good hands. Dr. Bartel and his team in surgery started on time. They ere done in a matter of minutes. Dr. Bartel was helpful in our consultation after. We met with the postop nurse Catherine who went over all the details we needed to get my home my son home safe and sound for a recovery. I feel very fortunate that Fox Valley orthopedics is in my community and available under my insurance. I highly recommend them.

Dr Bartel is an excellent surgeon! I was very pleased with him and all of his surgical team.

Dr. Bartel listened to my concerns about my feet & ankles, compared my new x-rays to those taken in 2019, and discussed options for each condition. He did not appear rushed and was very pleasant. He gave my right ankle a cortisone injection with orders for PT pending.

He was great early on, saw assistant last three appts, and she was great too.

Kind and took the time to answer the questions and go over all the options.

Dr. Bartel is fantastic. As a fellow runner he understands the impact of running on the body and is able to address challenges with the goal of allowing patients to return to normal activity. Other doctors I have seen often just want to say forget running try X, Not Dr. Bartel.

The doctor was VERY professional but the office staff were very rude. Not to only to us, but to everyone who entered the building. It sets a very bad tone and we questioned if we should even stay. He would double his business if he had kind and helpful staff. We asked a neighbor afterward and several people jumped in to agree and share the same feedback.
