Dr. Zhou graduated from Suzhou Medical College in 1988 and obtained a master’s degree in Clinical Immunology and Rheumatology from Peking Union Medical College in 1992. Dr. Zhou was the recipient of the 1997 Ogryzlo international Fellowship of the Canadian Rheumatology Association. Dr. Zhou's early research on rheumatoid arthritis helped with the discovery of anti-citrullinated protein antibodies (anti-CCP), allowing early diagnosis and treatment, which is the key improvement index for
the most desirable outcomes of rheumatoid arthritis.
