Dr. Zhe Liang, MD grew up in a family of chemical engineers, he developed a deep interest in science and has always been interested in pursuing a career in that field. That general interest was further narrowed while still a child living in Canada when his mother suffered a life-changing injury. While working as a sushi chef for a local supermarket she injured her hand, resulting in significant pain and permanent disability. Witnessing the suffering, hardship, and hopelessness she experienced inspired a resolve in him to try and help others facing similar injuries or conditions by directing his career to the science of medicine.
During his undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in Ontario, Canada, Dr. Zhe Liang became fascinated by the immune system and as a result, he earned his bachelor’s degree in immunology. He was accepted to the prestigious Washington university school of medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned his medical degree. Following medical school he began his hands-on training, first as a resident in internal medicine at Barnes Jewish hospital in St. Louis, and then with his rheumatology fellowship back at Washington university. The advance training in rheumatology perfectly matched his strong interest in the dysfunction of the immune system.

A caring doctor with a thoughtful manner. We have a good rapport.
Does not seem to take my age and work history into consideration like Dr. Dansdil did. My work and career has damaged my body. You can't always fix it past a certain age. Seems to want to try more pills. Have serious physical limitations.
