He is Board-Certified and fellowship-trained, specializing in sports medicine, shoulder reconstruction, joint replacement and advanced arthroscopic procedures. Dr. Liu completed his orthopedic surgical residency in Chicago, Illinois, where he served as chief resident and was honored with the Resident of the Year award for his leadership, clinical excellence and commitment to patient care. He went on to complete his fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Originally from California, Dr. Liu developed a strong connection to Las Vegas during his time at Touro University Nevada, where he graduated at the top of his class. He is excited to return to the city that helped shape his medical career and to provide high-quality orthopedic care to the growing Las Vegas community.
Dr. Liu completed his orthopedic surgical residency in Chicago, Illinois, where he served as chief resident and was honored with the Resident of the Year award for his leadership, clinical excellence and commitment to patient care. He went on to complete his fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, one of the nation’s premier orthopedic institutions, where he honed his skills in advanced arthroscopic procedures and shoulder reconstructive surgery. While there, he served as a team physician for both Washington University athletics and the NHL’s St. Louis Blues, where he gained extensive experience treating athletes at the highest levels.
At Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center, Dr. Liu is committed to delivering the highest level of care using cutting-edge techniques tailored to each patient’s lifestyle and goals. In addition to his expertise in arthroscopic surgery, Dr. Liu also offers his patients the latest techniques in cartilage restoration, joint replacement surgery and ligament reconstruction.
Known for his thoughtful yet patient-centered approach, Dr. Liu believes in educating patients, exploring all nonsurgical options and pursuing surgery only when absolutely necessary. His philosophy centers on shared decision-making and building trust through clear, compassionate communication and patient education.
Outside the operating room, Dr. Liu is an avid outdoors enthusiast. He enjoys hiking, surfing, snowboarding, traveling and spending time with his family. He is fluent in Mandarin and is proud to serve Las Vegas’s diverse patient population.
