Originally from California, Dr. Liu developed a strong connection to Las Vegas during his time at Touro University Nevada, where he graduated at the top of his class. He is excited to return to the city that helped shape his medical career and to provide high-quality orthopedic care to the growing Las Vegas community.
Dr. Liu completed his orthopedic surgical residency in Chicago, Illinois, where he served as chief resident and was honored with the Resident of the Year award for his leadership, clinical excellence and commitment to patient care. He went on to complete his fellowship training at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, one of the nation’s premier orthopedic institutions, where he honed his skills in advanced arthroscopic procedures and shoulder reconstructive surgery. While there, he served as a team physician for both Washington University athletics and the NHL’s St. Louis Blues, where he gained extensive experience treating athletes at the highest levels.
At Nevada Orthopedic & Spine Center, Dr. Liu is committed to delivering the highest level of care using cutting-edge techniques tailored to each patient’s lifestyle and goals. Seems not interested in my case and if he has preconceived ideas about my case which i do not agree with
Dr.Liu took the time to explain everything in detail and made me feel at ease,.He was very compassionate, and I'm so grateful for his care.
Dr Liu is exceptionally knowledgeable, efficient and thorough. He is easy to talk to, actively listens and thoroughly explains the pros and cons of surgery and alternative treatment options and outcomes. He is a consummate professional. Awesome Team
He ffully explained what was going on with my shoulder and the process I would go through to repair it. He also encouraged me to call at any time I if a problem occurred.
I've been seen by other orthopedic doctors before since my car accident 6 months ago, that didn't take the time to really listen to my pain and I felt dismissed, but Dr. Liu took the time to listen, to run some physical examination on me and he also took the time to explain. This was my first visit and even though my problem has not yet been solved, he has requested more tests to be done on me to find out the cause. I am very pleased so far, and even though I am still in a lot of pain and have to wait longer to release my shoulder, I felt he listened and have hope that this is going to be solved.
