Dr. Zaneb Yaseen is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with an additional certification in sports medicine. She has particular interests in arthroscopy of the knee, shoulder, and hip, as well as joint replacement of the shoulders and knees.
Dr. Yaseen received a Bachelors of Science and Masters of Science in electrical engineering with a concentration in Biomedical Engineering from The George Washington University, and her Medical Doctorate degree from the University of Tennessee. She completed her orthopaedic residency program at the University of Rochester Medical Center after which she pursued a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center under the direction of Dr. Freddie Fu. Dr. Yaseen enjoys taking care of athletes at all levels. She has been an assistant team physician for a number of collegial and professional sports teams including the Pittsburgh Penguins, Pittsburgh Steelers, Rochester Amerks, and Rochester Rattlers. Most recently, Dr. Yaseen was a team physician for Cornell University.
Dr. Yaseen is currently a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the Ruth Jackson Orthopaedic Society. She has also published numerous publications in orthopaedic literature and has authored several book chapters.

Extremely rude. Did not introduce herself or ask for my name. Immediately accused me of not acting on my health needs. Did not further ask me of any details regarding my health needs and was very dismissive of my questions and input.
I got this wonderful doctor quite by accident. She was assigned my case when I was admitted to the ER for a severe fracture of my ankle, which required surgery and some rods and screws to fix.. I could not be more pleased with. Doctor YASEEN in fact while I was in the ER and at the hospital, I was told that this lady is a rockstar and I believe it. My care was excellent and I’m very very appreciative of everything she has done for me.
LOVE Dr Yaseen ! Always friendly, spends time with u and addresses your concerns. Dreaded my reverse shoulder replacement and put it off as long as I could but she made the experience much easier than I had anticipated. Great surgeon!
She spoke only a few words to me (for approx. 3min. at most) then she was out of there. It was sort-of-like being shuttled through. Very impersonal.
