Honestly I feel like it’s always a quick visit when I take take my kids to see him. more like I’m trying to get you in and out kind of thing. We used to live in a bigger city back then and there was definitely a difference in the doctors we had over there. Doctors always sounded concerned or wanting to help or just asking more questions the way they should be. I mean, they are getting paid to be a doctor. Here in the small towns I feel like they just want to refer you to someone else in San Antonio. My visit with him there is always at the most 10 mins and hes out to the next patient. Horrible….

I have seen Dr. Windrow since I was 16. I would not trust anyone more with my overall health. I can walk in without saying a word and he can tell when I have a sinus infection. Great communication and always makes me feel heard!

Dr. Zachary Windrow, M.D., has over 26 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from the University of Texas with a bachelor’s degree, went to medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, and completed his residency in family practice and obstetrics at John Peter Smith Hospital.
Dr. Windrow grew up in Hondo, and after a few years of practicing in New Braunfels, TX, he moved “back home.” When he is not at the clinic or in the hospital, Dr. Windrow enjoys time on the golf course and spending time with his children, James, Emily, and Kate. He also enjoys the long days of farming and ranching alongside his brother, Dr. Matthew Windrow, and father, Dr. John Windrow.
Dr. Windrow’s area of expertise is family medicine, and he is credentialed with most insurance carriers. He is always accepting new patients and enjoys the continuity of care he can provide patients at all ages. Dr. Windrow sees patients at the Medical Clinic of Hondo on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and the Medical Clinic of Devine on Monday and Wednesday.
