He was very professional and friendly and took time to listen and address any issues or questions we had as being a new patient. Also, was sure to get all information from our prior doctors to be sure he gives us the best care. We was very pleased. He was a really nice and knowledgeable doctor.

Dr. Zachary Sumpter, D.O., was born and raised in Eastern Kentucky, where a strong sense of community shaped his commitment to serving others. Before medicine, he worked as a software engineer — an experience that sharpened his analytical skills. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Pikeville and completed his residency at ETSU Family Medicine in Bristol.
Dr. Sumpter takes a whole-person approach to primary care with a focus on building long-term, trust-based relationships. He has a particular interest in managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia, combining evidence-based medicine with care plans tailored to each patient's individual goals.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Sumpter enjoys spending time with his family, staying active outdoors, and serving his local church community.
