Zachary Dockter, MD

Dr. Zachary Dockter, M.D., grew up in Mobridge, South Dakota. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Dakota before continuing his medical education at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. Following medical school, Dr. Dockter completed his internship year and ophthalmology residency training at the University of Missouri – Kansas City.

Dr. Dockter provides comprehensive ophthalmology services, including routine eye care, advanced disease management, and surgical treatment for a variety of eye conditions. His clinical interests include cataract surgery, glaucoma management, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and dry eye treatment.

Dr. Dockter provides diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management for a variety of eye conditions and vision concerns, including:

Outside of work, Dr. Dockter enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and their two dogs. He enjoys outdoor activities including fishing, boating, and hiking. Traveling is also an important part of family life, and they hope to eventually visit all 50 states. Dr. Dockter is also a passionate sports fan, especially basketball, and enjoys participating in recreational sports whenever possible.
