He then earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Florida where he worked on enzyme structure and immunology. Following this, Dr. Pompeu attended Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA, where he obtained his Doctor of Medicine.
Dr. Pompeu completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the renowned Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY, from 2018 to 2023. He then pursued a spine surgery fellowship at Norton Leatherman Spine in Louisville, KY, from 2023 to 2024, further honing his expertise in spine surgery under the guidance of world-renowned mentors.
Dr. Pompeu specializes in the treatment of large-breadth spine conditions in the cervical thoracic and lumbar spine. Very personable and caring. Dr. Pompeu takes a lot of time listening and explaining what he sees wrong and how he intends to correct it.
