Yun Kao, M.D.

Dr. Yun Kao, M.D. is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained dermatopathologist. She received her undergraduate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School. She completed residency at the Harvard Combined Dermatology Residency Training Program, where she served as chief resident in her final year of training. She subsequently completed a dermatopathology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

She specializes in medical dermatology and dermatopathology with personal interests in acne, skin cancer detection and treatment, and interpretation of skin biopsy results in managing various rashes and growing lesions. She is excited to be practicing both clinical dermatology and dermatopathology at Tareen Dermatology and providing the best care possible to her patients. When she is not in clinic or at the microscope, Dr. Kao enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.
