Much appreciation to Dr. Amin. She explained all to me, did an x-ray, prescribed medications, and scheduled a follow-up appointment.

Dr. Amin provided excellent, thorough care today. She explained things in plain language and used clear demonstrations that helped me see how my middle finger, wrist, and elbow are connected — which made the plan easy to follow. I appreciated the stepwise approach: starting with a wristband to regulate use, treating now, and planning a follow-up to decide whether therapy or at-home treatments are needed. Overall, a very positive experience; I left feeling confident in the plan and supported.
Thanks again — much appreciated.

Patients searching for treatment and relief from joint sprains (ligament injuries, such as ACL tears), muscle strains, fractures (bone breaks), joint injuries (such as dislocations), overuse injuries, sport-related concussions, as well as conditions such as tendonitis and arthritis often benefit from treatment Dr. Amin is uniquely trained to provide. She believes it is essential for patients to feel that their medical care is individualized. Dr. Amin listens to her patients to best understand their circumstances and concerns. Considering each patient’s abilities, limitations, medical conditions, and goals, she educates her patients to help them make informed decisions about their care. Patients can return to activity/sports safely with Dr. Amin’s guidance and expertise.
Growing up in England, Dr. Amin began playing soccer and swimming when she was young. She developed an appreciation for sports medicine providers and their role in caring for athletes and physically active individuals. She decided to pursue a career in sports medicine as she knew it could be the perfect blend of interest in athletics and medicine. Upon graduating from Boston University, where she completed her undergraduate degree, she spent time in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound research at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. The research allowed her to evaluate rotator cuff injuries due to repetitive overhead sports in elite athletes of the 2008 USA Olympic Swim Team. Through this work, she became interested in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound.
Following residency, she chose to complete a fellowship in Sports Medicine to implement ultrasound into her practice and become more specialized. Dr. Amin enjoys performing both ultrasound-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, knowing these skills have improved the care she provides to patients. “Being able to follow a patient’s progression and serve as an integral part of their journey to becoming a healthier version of themselves” is what Dr. Amin says inspires her work ethic. She firmly believes exercise is medicine and promotes wellness by encouraging patients to be physically active.
