Dr. Wren McCallister, M.D. is a double board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in care of the hand and upper extremity. Dr. McCallister earned his medical degree at University of Washington School of Medicine and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at University of Washington and Harborview Medical Centers. He then completed his fellowship at the University of Washington.

Dr. McCallister grew up in the Seattle area, completing his undergraduate education, medical school, Orthopedic Surgery residency, and advanced postgraduate fellowship in Hand Surgery all at the University of Washington. Dr. McCallister has authored over 80 scientific works, served as a Consultant Reviewer, and lectured nationally on conditions affecting the hand and upper extremity. His research has won numerous nationally competitive awards. He has since focused that energy on the care of our community and helping his patients improve the quality of their lives with compassionate and effective care.
Outside the clinic and operating room, Dr. McCallister enjoys participating in many sports and has a passion for youth sports – whether it is coaching, watching his children participate, or supporting quality organizations that are committed to bettering our youth through sports. He enjoys the creative process, is a committed lifelong learner, and treasures time spent with his wife and three children.
