Dr. Wood Pope is a homegrown board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with a particular interest in total joint replacements, sports injuries, fracture care, traumatic and arthritic conditions of the foot and ankle. Dr. Pope has published numerous orthopaedic articles and book chapters and has presented on a local and national level.
Dr. Pope enjoys working with our youth covering sporting events and providing athletic screenings for high school and college athletes and is a team physician for Mercer University and Stratford Academy high school athletic programs.

Absolutely a Top Notch Doctor. Very through with attention to all details. An Artistic style of surgeon. Never seen knee surgeries as precise and clean as Dr. Pope’s work. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him to ALL I talk to with knee issues.
Dr Pope always provides an overview of what was found with the tests that were done. He takes the time to tell me what the findings were in terms that I can understand completely, showing me models of the affected area. Dr Pope offers all the options of treatment and provides information that helps me make an educated decision for my care plan.
