Dr. Wood Pope is a homegrown board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with a particular interest in total joint replacements, sports injuries, fracture care, traumatic and arthritic conditions of the foot and ankle. Dr. Pope has published numerous orthopaedic articles and book chapters and has presented on a local and national level.
Dr. Pope enjoys working with our youth covering sporting events and providing athletic screenings for high school and college athletes and is a team physician for Mercer University and Stratford Academy high school athletic programs.

Dr. Pope is the best doctor I know. He listens to you, which is rare. He gives you several treatment options without pushing one that will net the most money. He's always professional and caring.
After three weeks of pain, I went to see Dr Pope and he did a thorough exam of my shoulder. Didn’t rush the office visit and very professional. Great doctor and would highly recommend him.
