Wood Pope, M.D.

Dr. Wood Pope is a homegrown board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with a particular interest in total joint replacements, sports injuries, fracture care, traumatic and arthritic conditions of the foot and ankle. Dr. Pope has published numerous orthopaedic articles and book chapters and has presented on a local and national level.

Dr. Pope enjoys working with our youth covering sporting events and providing athletic screenings for high school and college athletes and is a team physician for Mercer University and Stratford Academy high school athletic programs.

Hip Care: Including total hip joint replacement, fracture care, arthritis, hip arthroscopy, impingement, tendon repair, tendinitis and labral repair

Knee Care: Including total knee joint replacement, cartilage injuries and restoration, arthritis, arthroscopy, meniscus tears and repairs, and revision joint replacement

Shoulder Care: Including total shoulder joint replacement, bankart repair, bursitis, frozen shoulder, rotator cuff problems and repair, arthritis, impingement, and SLAP repair

Sports Medicine: Including arthroscopy, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) repair, meniscus tear, cartilage restoration, and microfracture.

Foot & Ankle Care: including all foot and ankle conditions.
