Dr. Witcik was born and raised in Fargo, North Dakota. He received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from North Dakota State University. He received his medical degree from the University of North Dakota in 1986. In 1989, he completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He completed his Fellowship in Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1993 and did a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at the Iowa Heart Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He practiced cardiology in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, prior to joining Cardiovascular Medicine in 1995.
He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Heart Association, the Iowa Medical Society, and the Scott County Medical Society. He is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. Witcik is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is licensed in both Iowa and Illinois and is available for outpatient consultation and follow-up visits at the Davenport and Bettendorf locations. He has staff privileges at Genesis Medical Centers and UnityPoint Health Trinity.
