Dr. William Terrell is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who trained and completed his sports medicine fellowship at The Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. His primary practice is located in Marietta, Georgia. He sees patients in the Marietta and Woodstock locations.
Dr. Terrell specializes in orthopaedic trauma and limb lengthening and deformity correction. He has traveled and studied internationally. He trained in Hanover, Germany with Dr. Harald Tscherne in orthopaedic trauma. He also received extensive studies in the Ilizarov Technique and has traveled to Kurgan, Siberia, where the technique was invented. He has also been an instructor on limb lengthening and deformity, both in the United States and abroad.
Dr. Terrell is very active in his community and has served as team physician to many area schools and sporting events. He has served as team physician for the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Fitness Expo World’s Strongest Man Competition multiple times, team physician for the Georgia State Championship Wrestling Tournament, ringside physician in the USA vs. Russia Boxing Tournament, team physician for the Columbus Cottonmouths Hockey Team, and many other local sporting events.
Dr. Terrell lives with his wife in Marietta, Georgia and in his free time enjoys horticulture, water skiing, and weightlifting. He is also a featured speaker at many educational seminars and conventions.

Dr Terrell is a sweetheart. Yesterday was my 1st time meeting him. He has fantastic bedside manners and was extremely patient with my many questions.

Very good and caring
There are no words to describe how remarkable Dr. Terrell is. We met him in 2018 with a very complex trauma case. My husband would quite likely be an amputee if we had not met Dr. Terrell. His level of expertise and skill are rarely found in someone with so much humility and genuine care for his patients. Rude and arrogant. Made snarky comments ridiculing and questioning my disability. Extremely rushed and made me feel as I did not matter to him at all as a patient or a person. Wouldn’t even look at my when talking.
Very kind and helpful when I really needed it. Even though he didn’t take my case he still helped me out so much. All doctors should be as caring..
