William Dean Terrell, M.D.

Dr. Terrell is by far the best. My husband needed pretty invasive surgery on his leg after an accident , and Dr Terrell performed multiple needed surgeries . He explained everything so well, and wants to make sure his patients understand everything as well. Thank you Dr Terrell for all of your care all along. It was a great success!

Dr. Terrell asked questions to understand the pain I was having in my knee and ankle. He got X-rays taken and then walked me through the results and potential next steps. I trust him as he has helped me so much with previous injuries. He’s the best!

This was my first visit with Dr. Terrell. He was very professional, very personable and very patiently explained my issue. I would definitely recommend this doctor and this practice.

I was on time for my 8am appt (which is when the office opens), and I didn't see Dr. Terrell until 8:45. I was under the impression that there would be a procedure done that day, but instead he told me exactly what Dr. Biloda (also Pinnacle) told me and let me know his office would be in touch about scheduling. Consistently, my appointments at Pinnacle Orthopaedics start very late and feel like I'm being passed around without any one doctor owning my case. I'm frustrated and am reconsidering my choice in specialists.

Dr. Terrell recently performed a 2nd knee surgery (2 different knees) for a torn meniscus. Dr. Terrell is a fantastic surgeon and has great guy!

Me and my wife have never been spoken or treated by a physician the way we were today on my visit. He completely didn’t have his facts together on my injury. I’m still at a loss for words on how we were treated today. My third visit and didn’t even ask me how my foot was feeling didn’t even exam it. Then treated us like we were stupid.. I will not be back and would not even take a sick dog to see this man!!!

Dr Terrell was Awesome! 2 years later he said if he was going to race again the rod would have to come out so we then followed Dr Terrell to Columbus Ga to remove the rod and now Dr Terrell is in Marietta Ga about an hour from us now so Thankful I myself have used him for my knee and foot problems Excellent Dr.!

Dr. Terrell is one of the TOP trauma surgeons in the world, yet he has t the compassion and care of a “ local “ hometown Physician. He is also a teaching Dr and shares his knowledge with others. He is very proficient in the use of, and teaches the Illizeroff method of limb lengthening and limb salvage.

Even though I was in considerable pain during my consultation visit, Dr. Terrell’s compassion, humor, and overall approach were on a level of genuineness that I don’t recall ever experiencing from any previous Dr.’s visit in my life. During the consultation, Dr. Terrell had me laughing on several instances, even though the pain worsened so much I had tears welling up in my eyes! I don’t know what my outcome will be, but my first experience with Dr. Terrell was truly humbling on a professional and humanistic level unlike any visit I can recall throughout my life. I have always thought the world of Dr. Terrell, but today I didn't feel like he was as interested in my problem as in the past. He was yawning and I asked him if something was wrong and he said he was exhausted because he had been on call for three nights. Hopefully, he will get some needed rest.

My appt was at 3:00 and I didn’t leave until 4:40. No dr appt should take an hour and 40 min which 15 min was spent with dr. The rest of the time I sat in an exam room waiting. Got in a nice nap from 3:02 to 4:23 .i even got to my appt 30 min early. So I was ther 2 hr & 10 min. Even the front staff was gone when I left.

I feel so fortunate that the decision was made to send me from Jasper Peidmont Mountainside to Dr. Terrell at Kennestone Hospital. I am convinced that the surgery he did on my leg with the external fixator saved me from a 6 month recovery period during which time I would have been unable to bear any weight in the leg whatsoever. With Dr. Terrell’s technique, and his verbal encouragement, I have been up and “walking” since the surgery. At age 76, Dr. Terrell has given my active lifestyle back!

I broke my right leg January 2018 an orthopedic surgeon made it even worse by casting it and letting it heal way off of its natural position. Then he put a rod in my leg and said that would make it better. Not!! Dr. Terrell was willing to undergo the Endeavor of removing the rod correcting my foot posture with surgery and has been nothing but an absolute fantastic orthopedic surgeon and his staff is very efficient.

Dr. Terrell has a great reptutation and I can see why. I've heard of him through neighbors who were his patients and by God's graces he was the doctor on call when I had a very serious accident and needed surgery. His patient manner, intelligence, practical advise and the time he took with me in follow up visits is exemplary. I never felt like just a number that was rushed through - he took dedicated time to speak with me and answer all my questions, concerns and uncertainties.

Dr. Terrell showed a lot of patience by taking the time to explain to me my options and the process, if I had to do it all over I would still choose him again.
