I've been seeing Dr Shergy for many years and have always received excellent care from him, the lab & bone scan techs, and the office staff. Rarely do I have to wait past my appointment time, and my treatment for osteoporosis has been excellent. The staff takes care of pre-authorizations and insurance matters efficiently and I never have to worry about whether or not it was done correctly. I always get recommend Dr Shergy to my friends and family.

Dr. William J. Shergy, M.D. is board-certified in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. He specializes in the treatment of connective tissue disorders and diseases of the immune system. In 1978, he earned his BS degree from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, and received his MD from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1982. He completed his internship and residency at Presbyterian University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, where he was also Chief Medical Resident. In addition, he completed both a clinical and research fellowship in the Division of Rheumatology and Immunology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Shergy is a fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the American College of Rheumatology. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Huntsville, and serves as Assistant Consulting Professor in the Department of Medicine at Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina. He is a member of the United Scleroderma Board, the Lupus Foundation of America, and the National Osteoporosis Foundation. Dr. Shergy joined RANA in July 1988.
