Dr. Marshall is a Virginia Beach native and obtained his undergraduate degree in biology from Old Dominion University. His medical training began at Eastern Virginia Medical School, the same hospital where he was born. His mother, Dianne, an operating room nurse with over 30 years of experience, was influential in Dr. Marshall’s career choice. He ventured to South Carolina to complete internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Prisma Health. His passion for joint replacement took him to Nashville, Tennessee, for a hip and knee replacement fellowship at the prestigious Southern Joint Replacement Institute. The cutting-edge techniques he was taught during his fellowship training are applied daily in his practice.
Since childhood, Dr. Marshall has been an avid outdoorsman. He has a passion for surfing, deep sea fishing, and hunting. He also enjoys the mountains and spends time backcountry snowboarding. Outside of his hobbies, Dr. Marshall loves spending time with his wife Stephanie, his two daughters, Lilah and Ellis, as well as their British Labrador, Murphy. On the weekends, you can often find Dr. Marshall grilling out for his family and spending time at the beach.

Very friendly listens to his patients concerns . my hip replacement went very well.
Dr Marshall always take the time to answer any questions and not make you as if you are wasting his time.
Dr. Marshall was very detailed explaining the status of my post surgical recovery.
Dr. Marshall is a down to earth excellent communicator and an exceptional physician. If he’s not 100% sure about something he’s helping you with he finds the best second opinion available and is willing to continue to be involved in your treatment. The short version no arrogance and you can trust him.
