Wonderful doctor; personable and well-informed on latest information in his field. So happy my PCP referred me to Dr. Hughes. As an older female, I felt respected and heard; he took a very reasonable, proactive approach to my medical issue, and explained treatment in detail. Hmmmm, where do I begin! Let me say first that I drove from NC (after having already seen a different Urologist), to ask Dr Hughes to evaluate my condition. I booked my first appointment several weeks before departing NC and shortly after arriving in Gulfport MS I had my appointment. In plain words I found Dr Hughes was a “very” down-to-earth person. He didn’t try to make me feel inferior nor did he try to impress me with fancy words but instead; he spoke plain language that was easy to comprehend and most importantly he spoke with confidence. He presented me options towards addressing my issues without being demeaning or offensive but instead he was very understanding. He offered positive solutions which I could choose from! Ultimately it was my decision to choose the approach that I thought was best. Once again, Dr Hughes is by far the most down-to-earth doctor that I have ever met and I am forever grateful for his care and support!
