Dr. William Browning III, D.O., M.S. is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Browning specializes in sports medicine with a special emphasis in arthroscopy and joint replacement of the shoulder, hip, and knee.
Following in the footsteps of his parents, both doctors, Dr. Browning launched his career in his home state of West Virginia. He received his Master of Science in Medical Education and completed his residency at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Pennsylvania.
Following his residency training, Dr. Browning pursued a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Buffalo. While there he provided care for the NFL’s Buffalo Bills and the NHL’s Buffalo Sabers.
Dr. Browning currently serves as Assistant Team Physician for Stetson University and Team Physician for Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, among others.
In his spare time, Dr. Browning enjoys camping, mountain biking, playing the guitar, and attending his kids’ sporting events.

Dr Browning has done complete hip replacement on both my hips. I was actually surprised how fast they boot out of the hospital but all is well and it’s been great. I really appreciate his bedside manner. Very straightforward. He explains things so you can understand it. That’s why I keep going to them
Dr.Browning is a superb orthopedic practitioner. He takes the issues of his patients seriously as he would his own family member. He performed a very successful rotator cuff surgery for me and now is treating a painful problematic issue on my other shoulder injured during heavy lifting while doing property work! I consider him to be among the very best
IDr.Browning is a great doctor.. He is kind , gentle and trustworthy . I feel safe in his hands but most of all I love his honesty . The good the bad and the ugly and his support and guidance during it all .

He did my meniscus surgery and he did a great job. He is thorough and he has one doctor that takes his time doesn’t rush through you and simply as concerned! Not easy to find these days not pushing you in and out of the door! Would recommend him to anyone
