Dr. William Lawrence attended the University of Southern Mississippi before completing medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He then went on to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in Kansas City, Missouri, where he met Dr. Patrick Boyett. Dr. Lawrence moved to Jackson, MS and worked as an orthopaedic surgeon there for 5 1/2 years.
Dr. Lawrence and Dr. Boyett founded OrthoSports Athens in 2011, and Dr. Lawrence moved to Athens in 2012. Dr. Lawrence is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Lawrence enjoys spending time with each patient and helping them improve their mobility and function. He practices general orthopaedics and focuses his practice on Total Joint Replacement, Sports Medicine, and Hand Procedures.
Dr. Lawrence enjoys spending time with his wife Lynn, son William, and daughter Claire. Bill is an avid outdoorsman who loves to hunt and fish. He also enjoys spending time at the farm he owns with Dr. Boyett.

Efficient courteous staff. From Dr Lawrence & P/A Adams, all nurses, x ray techs, financial adm. are wonderful! Very encouraging people and the premises are clean & classic . The checkin procedure is quick! Not much wait time ever. You will be pleased you chose OTC!
