Dr. William Lawrence attended the University of Southern Mississippi before completing medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He then went on to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency in Kansas City, Missouri, where he met Dr. Patrick Boyett. Dr. Lawrence moved to Jackson, MS and worked as an orthopaedic surgeon there for 5 1/2 years.
Dr. Lawrence and Dr. Boyett founded OrthoSports Athens in 2011, and Dr. Lawrence moved to Athens in 2012. Dr. Lawrence is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Lawrence enjoys spending time with each patient and helping them improve their mobility and function. He practices general orthopaedics and focuses his practice on Total Joint Replacement, Sports Medicine, and Hand Procedures.
Dr. Lawrence enjoys spending time with his wife Lynn, son William, and daughter Claire. Bill is an avid outdoorsman who loves to hunt and fish. He also enjoys spending time at the farm he owns with Dr. Boyett.

Very professional and thorough. Great personality.
Well I had severe pain in shoulder so I scheduled an appointment for shoulder. Went to chiropractor before going to TOC. Found out it was a pinched nerve in my neck. Got there and I couldn’t be help because when I I scheduled my appointment I thought it was my shoulder. To make my story short I drove 60 miles for nothing and still in pain. Thanks

He is a very professional Doctor. He took the time to listen and explain everything with my knee.
He is so compassionate and he listens to you. And he tells you his best judgment. And what procedure he thinks you need to do and which one will help you better? He is a great doctor and I really, really like him. The lighty's up front is so nice. The host staff is just really nice and they have a welcome about them. If you need something done I really recommend TOC. They are the top ones around here to me.
