It seems like it's all about money. wanting me to start therapy before I even get test results. That makes no sense.

I had surgery with Dr. Kesto on my shoulder and am very pleased with my results. He spent time with me to explain the procedure and set me up for recovery. He has also been in contact with my physical therapist to personalize my therapy.

It would be helpful if the doctor could provide a basic understanding/overview of how the area in question is supposed to function, and then show what the problem specifically is from the X-rays and/or MRIs and then what options exist for healing (therapy, surgical repair/replacement, etc) for a layperson to understand more clearly the full situation instead of just explaining partial aspects of the situation (as if the patient is medically knowledgeable) or relying on the patient to know what to ask about.

I’ve never met anyone that has gone to an orthodontist and been told they don’t need braces. I was afraid the same thing would happen visiting a surgeon. However Dr. Kesto said “sure, I could go in and fix the tendon tear and get rid of all the degenerative issues in a 45 minute operation. This is what I do. But, I think your strong enough and active enough to avoid surgery”. This was the best news ever and am being sent for specific physical therapy. So glad to have met a surgeon that’s nots knife happy. He explained everything and was easy to understand. I would highly recommend him!

Dr. Kesto performed a shoulder replacement on me in August. There were no complications and virtually no pain. It may take a year to fully recover, but I have great flexibility and mobility NO PAIN! Definitely recommend him as a terrific surgeon!

Dr. lacked friendly bedside manner. I felt like I was bothering him for his time. He was knowledgeable about my condition but If condition doesn't improve with suggestions I will probably see someone else.
