Overall experience was excellent. From medical registration, to back room techs, and the MD, everyone was so helpful and so kind. I was treated as if everyone truly cared about my needs I also work in the medical industry, and I could tell how well organized and efficient they were. It was obvious they flow well together as a team, and honestly, they seem to really enjoy working together. I came in with extreme shoulder pain, and having staff that treats you well, makes a huge difference. They have gained a loyal patient, and I will not go anywhere else in the future for ortho needs. Kudos to this team from one medical professional, to another!

Excellent care with immediate results

Dr Isbell told me that I was his first patient in 20 yrs to have developed blood clots in my shoulder replacement surgery. He was honest and up front with me that it may take 6 months to a year or more for the tingling and numbness in my hand to go away.

I highly recommend Dr Isbell. He spent 20 minutes explaining in layman’s details my shoulder tear. He showed me the MRI so I could have visibility as to exactly where and how severe the tear is. He gave me options and explained the consequences. His nurse Diana saved the day because Cary Ortho didn’t even put the MRI on the CD but she was able to retrieve them and the Dr notes which they also left off. What a team!

Excellent, skilled surgeon. Dr. Isbell operated on both of my shoulders, one of them he fixed when the surgery didn't go well with a different doctor. Great bedside manner. He's one of the doctors who seems to genuinely care about his patients. Was seen on time for every appointment too which is no small feat considering how many are on his schedule.

I have never been there before. The service was AWESOME. If I ever have another pain I will definitely make an appointment. Thanks for the service.

This rating isn’t to trash Dr Isbell; he did my shoulder surgeries years ago & was great. Only say nice things about him & his surgical expertise. He did do knees, must not anymore or only for athletes. This appt was made through the appt line twice (the 1st one was cancelled/rescheduled). My reason for coming was clear. Showed up for my appt, wait time was short, staff were nice. Dr Isbell seemed surprised I was there. Maybe if I wore a Canes jersey I would have gotten help. He was nice but I basically got the 10 minute brush off with no exam, no help, a referral to a surgeon in the practice, shown the door. It would be a crime if insurance is billed for this visit because there was NOTHING done: no treatment, no tests ordered, no pain relief. Waited WEEKS for this appt. If he only handles athletes this appt shouldn’t have been scheduled/my time wasted. Except for 1 injection done weeks ago by PA, have gotten no help, no further testing. No pain relief. Only surgery talk. Really?

Dr Isbell was my second opinion on an injury I sustained at the gym and I cannot be more happy that I was able to meet with him. I traveled from Wilmington to see him due to a recommendation. He explained everything to me, was relatable to someone who is active, and left the decision up to me after giving me all the information up front. Dr. Isbell did surgery on my shoulder. I have almost completed physical therapy and have 3 follow-up appointments and 1 more expected. The surgery was 100% successful and my physical therapy has been tough, but also 100% successful and on track for a complete recovery. Dr. Isbell is very friendly. Having been through many years of suffering on my left knee before TKR, I was a little surprised at the haste at which I was told I needed the same on my other knee with only so much as an x-ray (no MRI, physical therapy, injections, braces?). As much as I appreciate my doctor's analysis (TKR is imminent) I felt there could have been more preventative measures taken (the diagnosis seemed premature, although I know it's inevitable). I will say that the cortisone shot I got at my initial visit was a blessing! I am so relieved to be free of debilitating chronic pain that I am beyond grateful.
