Dr. Hedden performed his undergraduate work at the University of Florida, where he majored in sculpting and anatomy. He went on to earn his medical degree (M.D.) at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. Dr. Hedden's training in surgery continued with a residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in Shreveport, where he was chief resident. He then completed his plastic surgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

Hedden was the absolute best. I was still undecided at my surgery and he didn’t rush me, gave me plenty of time, and helped carefully explain all of my options in detail for my husband and I both. I will definitely be back for more procedures. He’s truly the best there is.
Dr. Hedden was nice enough and answered what questions I had. However, never introduced himself, or said my name, had a doctor shadowing him and didn’t ask if I was okay with this or even introduce the person. He wouldn’t advise on size of implant size, which I can understand, but I hoped for a little more guidance - instead he relied solely on the at home rice test. We never discussed details of surgery or even how he’d handle the implants (submuscular or subfascial). When asked if I had anymore questions, I froze as I expected him to guide the conversation more. This was all after a 45 min wait causing my husband to have to cancel a meeting. I could tell the consult was meant to only provide me with a cost breakdown which I received and seemed reasonable comparatively.

Hello Doctor, I hope you have a moment to review this message. You seem to be an excellent physician, but I’mconcerned that the conduct of some staff in the back office may be affecting your practice and patient experience. During my visit, I felt judged and unwelcome by the way I was treated and the expressions directed toward me. Although they did not know me, their demeanor made me uncomfortable to the point that I questioned moving forward with surgery under their care. It came across as though they did not want to be there or did not value the patients they were serving. Patients come from all backgrounds and appearances, and each one deserves to feel respected, safe, and cared for. A patient-centered approach—including kindness, professionalism, and mindful communication—can make a significant difference in how patients experience their care. I wanted to share this feedback because it’s important, and I believe it could help improve the overall patient experience in your pract
