I came in due to having a type of double vision. Dr Flanery did a quick exam and found the cause ASAP. Dry eye, blocked oil ducts in my eye. Suggested a solution. He is not my regular physician but gave me peace of mind.

While studying at Dartmouth, Dr. Flanary discovered his love of ophthalmology. He was attracted to the advanced technological aspects of the field as well as the meaningful relationships that are forged with patients and colleagues. Dr. Flanary was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society prior to earning his medical degree. He then completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Iowa, one of the nation’s perennial top 10 ophthalmology training programs. During his residency training, Dr. Flanary served as Editor-in-Chief of Eyerounds, one of the top ophthalmology educational resources in the world.
In his free time, Dr. Flanary enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. They enjoy exploring the natural beauty Oregon has to offer. Dr. Flanary’s hobbies include cycling, kayaking, hiking, and competitive ultimate Frisbee (he has played for top club teams all over the country).
