Dr. William Bartlett, M.D., is a highly accomplished ophthalmologist with a distinguished career in eye care and leadership.
He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, San Diego, and his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Bartlett completed his Ophthalmology residency at Hahnemann Medical College, School of Medicine, and Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, graduating with distinction in 1993.
Dr. Bartlett is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and holds certification from the State of California Medical Association. After residency, he entered private practice with Moses & Hickey, MD’s, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, before joining the surgeons at North Bay Eye Associates in 2000. He currently serves as the President of North Bay Eye Associates and the Medical Director for North Bay Eye Associates, Ambulatory Surgery Center. He is also a Resident Ophthalmic Consultant at Sonoma Developmental Center.
His numerous accomplishments include the Resident Teaching Award from Hahnemann University, the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center Ophthalmology Achievement Award, and the Mt. Carmel Family Practice Teaching Award. He also served as Vice-Chairman of the EENT Department and on the Credentials Committee at Mt. Carmel Medical Center.
Dr. Bartlett specializes in Anterior Segment Surgery, including Small Incision Cataract Surgery, Diabetic Eyecare, and General Ophthalmology. He is on the medical staff at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, Sutter Hospital, Petaluma Valley Hospital, and Sonoma Valley Hospital. His professional societies include the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Medical Association, California Medical Association, California Academy of Ophthalmology, Ohio State Medical Association, Ohio Ophthalmologic Society, Columbus Medical Association, Ophthalmic Society of Redwood Empire, Columbus EENT Society, and Research to Prevent Blindness.
He is married and enjoys spending time with his daughters. In his spare time, he also enjoys golfing and traveling.
Dr. Bartlett practices in the Santa Rosa, Sonoma, and Healdsburg offices.
