He completed his orthopaedic residency with the University of Michigan and Michigan State University, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. He then refined his expertise through a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Total Joint Arthroplasty at the prestigious CORE Institute in Phoenix, AZ.

Raised in rural central Michigan, Dr. Geisert earned his medical degree with honors from the University of Michigan Medical School, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his orthopaedic residency with the University of Michigan and Michigan State University, serving as Chief Resident in his final year. He then refined his expertise through a fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Total Joint Arthroplasty at the prestigious CORE Institute in Phoenix, AZ.
Dr. Geisert has served diverse communities in Somerset, KY, and Auburn, IN, and has held key leadership roles, including Chair of the Quality and Resource Management Committee at Parkview DeKalb Hospital and Chief of Surgery at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, licensed in Arizona, Michigan, Indiana, and Florida, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
Outside the operating room, Dr. Geisert enjoys traveling with his wife and young children, downhill skiing, SCUBA diving, golfing, boating, and playing guitar.
