Dr. Allison has been with Advanced ENT & Allergy since 2010. He is board-certified in adult/pediatric otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery by the American Board of Otolaryngology. He truly enjoys and is proficient in all aspects of the ear, nose, and throat. His love for children and pediatric care is a large reason he chose this specialty, and as a parent, he knows how stressful it can be to have a sick child. He has a special interest in the medical and surgical management of sinus disease, and he fully understands the importance of addressing allergies as an underlying component of these problems. He is one of few ENT physicians in the area who has completed sub-specialty training/ certification to achieve fellow status in the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. He is fully certified and proficient in all forms of minimally invasive office-based nose/sinus procedures without the need for general anesthesia. He is certified and regularly performs in-office balloon sinuplasty, turbinate reductions, Vivaer procedure (for nasal valve collapse), and Rhinaer procedure (for chronic nasal drainage). Other areas of interest include the diagnosis and surgical management of thyroid, parathyroid, and salivary gland disorders. He is American College of Surgeons certified in head and neck ultrasound diagnosis and fine needle aspiration. Comprehensive airway and sleep evaluations for both snoring and sleep apnea are also a big component of his practice.
Dr. Allison is a firm believer in taking the time to listen to each patient’s concerns and perspectives in deciding on a mutually agreeable and effective plan for that patient’s care.
Though he was raised in Oklahoma and is still a diehard “Sooner”, Dr. Allison fell in love with the Louisville area and currently enjoys cheering on U of L Cardinal athletics throughout the year. His first love is his family – he and his wife Angela are proud parents of two girls. In his spare time, he also enjoys live music, working out, traveling, and skiing.

Dr. Allison was thorough and took the time to answer my questions and explain everything in an understandable way. He took excellent care of my son.
Helpful guy.
Very approachable and pleasant
Very thorough. Explained all of my options very well. Listened to me. I feel I can trust my care to Dr Allison
When you go to a doctor at a scheduled time and it’s an hour and 45 minutes later, that’s a problem. When the doctor comes in and the patient looking for solution, it would be nice to not have deal with a condescending attitude and being made to feel like you were wasting their time. Also, when you touch a patient, you need to tell them you’re going touch them and you need to tell them what you’re going to do to them, especially if there is an instrument involved. I did not appreciate coming out of that office feeling traumatized and the lack of treating me as if I had a brain in my head. I have been to this practice, different locations, on 2 separate occasions over the past 5 years seeing 2 different physicians and each time was traumatizing and I will never be back.
He never called my prescription in.
Super great guy,I really felt heard.
Dr. Allison is a fantastic, caring doctor with incredible bedside manner!
Knowledgeable and very patient centered
He didn't listen to me! He came in, scoped my sinuses, felt around the area where my face and jaws are swollen, and told me I have a problem that I don't have. If I had that problem, my neurologist would have found it years ago! When I mentioned that I'm being treated for two other problems for that area, he became defensive and told me that his findings are what he's treating me for! He refused to listen to me and I will not be treated by an arrogant man who will not let me be a part of MY treatment!
