Dr. Stanwood was great! He took the time to explain what was going on, showed me the problem on my X-rays. We discussed options, moving forward and he gave me a cortisone shot. Happy to report that it helped considerably…at least 50-60% improvement so far! Although my shoulder bone on bone is not complicated nor life threatening, it is the first big aging problem that I have encountered and it was a big deal to me!

I found him to be friendly, caring, good at explaining my MRI images and he didn’t make me feel rushed.

Treated for a painful shoulder issue that was misdiagnosed by another ortho practice. Dr. Stanwood tried a non-surgical treatment approach first. When that did not solve my problem, I underwent surgery with excellent results. I was extremely comfortable during my recovery and was very happy with all the support from his practice.

Dr. Starwood saw me the day I called to make an appointment, listened to me, took quick action, and made helpful suggestions for moving forward. I had a really positive experience with him!

Office was extremely fast, efficient, cordial and capable. Dr. Stanwood explained everything very well, listened carefully to me and acknowledged my pain level and gave me a course of action that I think is achievable. Very happy with my initial experience!

Being short and a bit aloof is not a good bedside practice… perhaps it can be blamed on possible insecurities…?

While Dr. Stanwood conducted a comprehensive and efficient exam and ruled out any apparent neuromuscular shoulder injury, he was ultimately dismissive of my symptoms and left abruptly (presumably to get on to his next seven minute patient contact) with no recommendations on how to move forward.

Took the time to listen to my concerns and explained in a way that I could understand what my options are going forward ..
