Dr. Walter W. Dearolf, III, M.D., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with over 25 years of experience providing patients with comprehensive care at Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Associates, P.C.
Dr. Dearolf graduated with his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and was the recipient of the Clinical Surgery Prize and Orthopaedic Surgery Prize. He then completed a surgical internship and residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.
In addition to his practice duties, Dr. Dearolf also holds hospital appointments at Jeanes Hospital and Holy Redeemer Hospital and Medical Center. He currently serves as the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at Jeanes Hospital, as well as a member of several surgical and professional review committees.
Dr. Dearolf is also actively involved with several professional organizations, including: American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Pennsylvania Orthopaedic Society, Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society, Eastern Orthopaedic Society, and Jefferson Orthopaedic Society.
Within the Philadelphia Orthopaedic Society, Dr. Dearolf has previously served as President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Program Chair. He continues to attend continuing medical education courses to provide his patients with the latest treatments available. His work has appeared in several papers and presentations as well.

He consistently provides exceptional care for his patients, always going the extra mile to ensure they feel comfortable throughout the entire process. He takes the time to explain everything thoroughly, making sure you are well informed and confident every step of the way. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking excellent rehabilitation and surgical care.
I am so, so sad that Dr. Dearolf is retiring in a few weeks. I just saw him on July 29 and asked him if he was going to continuing working one day a week, and then two days later got your email that he and Dr. Markmann are leaving. I am so upset. Dr. Dearolf has been my orthopedist for decades.
