Dr Floyd took care of my ganglion cyst quickly, efficiently and painlessly in his office without the need for surgery. If it returns he can repeat the same treatment or suggest surgery. Dr Floyd is very friendly, caring and experienced.

After completion of a Hand Surgery Fellowship with pioneer hand surgeons J. William Littler and Richard Eaton in New York City, Dr. Waldo Floyd returned to his central Georgia home over three decades ago. His practice is limited to Surgery of the Hand. He is certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and Surgery of the Hand by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery through 2029.
Dr. Waldo Floyd has held a variety of leadership positions. He has served on the Board of Councilors of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and has been President of the Georgia Orthopaedic Society and the Georgia Society for Surgery of the Hand. He was Chief of Surgery at the Medical Center Navicent Health from 2004-2010. Dr. Floyd is a Clinical Professor of Surgery (Hand) at the Mercer University School of Medicine. He is a member of the American Orthopaedic Association, a selective organization of specialty leaders.
Dr. Floyd is the author of many peer-reviewed articles and invited publications. For over twenty years, he has been a Consultant Reviewer for the Journal of Hand Surgery.
CLINICAL INTERESTS All aspects of Hand Surgery: Surgical & non-surgical fracture care in children and adults from the elbow to the fingers, reconstruction of bone, skin, tendon, nerve and vascular injuries, nerve compression disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar nerve compression, cyst and tumor removal, replantations, joint reconstruction, arthritis surgery, Dupuytren’s contracture, sports injuries including ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction (Tommy John) and congenital differences.
