Dr. W. Lee Richardson became interested in orthopaedics after he sustained an injury as a high-school athlete. His interest in helping others combined perfectly with his fascination for how the human body functions. Dr. Richardson enjoys helping his patients regain their independence and ability to interact with the world around them by treating their hand and upper extremity injuries and conditions.
Every patient is different. Dr. Richardson explains conditions and situations fully to each patient and involves them in the decision-making process. Most patients have a pretty good idea what their problem is and how it is affecting their life. Dr. Richardson believes his job is to guide them to the best solution for their particular situation. He helps his patients understand their condition so that they can make it better, together.
In his free time, Dr. Richardson enjoys being with his family and playing basketball. He is also involved in his children’s athletic pursuits and an active member of his church.

Dr. Richardson was amazing with my son! We saw him for a broken wrist. The whole office staff there was wonderful and made him feel right at home
Great doctor, very knowledgeable. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.
Dr. Richardson is very knowledgeable in his work and helping with our situation. However, he does not have a great doctor to patient relationship. His personality is not evident, which can be off putting. We saw him on two different occasions to see if anything changed, but it was the same both times.
Dr Richardson is very professional and I trust him 100% to handle my hand issues. Each apt is better than expected. And he has a great sense of humor which helps me with my anxiety. Recommend him highly! We have told others to call him with hand issues.
Lee is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend him.

Dr.Richardson fixed my husbands thumb , no problems! I just fractured my wrist and the ER said find a dr to take you in. 5-10 days. Dr Richardson fit me into his busy schedule the next day! So thankful we have him here in Prescott. Good listener, never felt rushed.
