Dr. W. Lee Richardson became interested in orthopaedics after he sustained an injury as a high-school athlete. His interest in helping others combined perfectly with his fascination for how the human body functions. Dr. Richardson enjoys helping his patients regain their independence and ability to interact with the world around them by treating their hand and upper extremity injuries and conditions.
Every patient is different. Dr. Richardson explains conditions and situations fully to each patient and involves them in the decision-making process. Most patients have a pretty good idea what their problem is and how it is affecting their life. Dr. Richardson believes his job is to guide them to the best solution for their particular situation. He helps his patients understand their condition so that they can make it better, together.
In his free time, Dr. Richardson enjoys being with his family and playing basketball. He is also involved in his children’s athletic pursuits and an active member of his church.

I hadn't been seen in the office for three years by Dr. Richardson. I didn't expect him to recognize me as he sees many people, so I was pleasantly surprised when he remembered me.
I took my 85 year old Mother to see Dr. Richardson for wrist pain and he was very kind to her and explained everything very well. I would recommend him!

He gave me a thorough explanation and explained in great detail regarding my arm and wrist. He was very honest about my situation and why it was not feasible to repair my wrist, which I greatly appreciated.
Dr Richardson is best orthopedic for any hand related issues. He’s performed 2 successful carpal tunnel surgeries for me and two trigger finger injections, middle finger on both hands. He’s an expert and exudes confidence. He’s easy to understand and thoroughly explains the procedure. I’m very happy we have such a speciality professional in Prescott.
